Windsurf Beginner Course – Fethiye/Çalış Beach

Take your first steps into the world of windsurfing! This beginner-level course, held at Çalış Beach in the stunning bays of Fethiye, is perfect for anyone who wants to become a windsurfing enthusiast. With experienced instructors, you will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Lessons are scheduled throughout the week and offer a flexible program suitable for all levels.

Course Content

This basic windsurfing course consists of 3 sessions, covering the following stages:

• Theory (Approx. 1 hour): Wind knowledge, equipment introduction, safety rules, and environmental awareness.
• Simulator Training: On a board with a real sail on the beach; getting on the board, standing up, lifting the sail from the water, starting position, and steering techniques.
• On-Water Windsurfing Training: Practical application of theory and simulator at sea. Theoretical lessons daily at 6:00 PM, followed by practical windsurfing the next morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

VDWS International License Opportunity

Our school is a member of the VDWS (German Windsurfing and Watersports Association). After 10 hours of lessons, students who pass the theory and practical exams are awarded an internationally valid basic windsurfing license. Exam topics include equipment and wind knowledge, turns, right-of-way rules, rigging, and carrying the sail.

Intermediate and Advanced Courses

Advanced options are also available for those who complete the basic course:

• Beachstart – theory, simulator, and on-water practice
• Waterstart – theory, simulator, and on-water practice
• Downwind and Upwind Turns – theory, simulator, and on-water practice
